This is a photograph of the "Texas Terror" plane crash memorial, Ingham, Queensland, Australia. The monument has the name of Dewey G. Hooper, Elon College class of 1940, who perished in the crash on December 18, 1942. The monument consists of a stone with two plaques and a propeller blade which was recovered from the wreckage on nearby Mt. Straloch, Hitchenbrook Island.
