This is a photocopy of a newspaper clipping from the Daily Times-News of Burlington, NC, entitled "Brothers in Service" about Dewey Hooper's military service in the U.S. Army Air Force, as well as the service of his brother, Sgt. Clement V. (Pete) Hooper, U.S. Army. This clipping is an abridged version of an article which appeared in the Daily Times-News on November 24, 1942. The article states that 2nd Lt. Hooper was stationed in Hawaii after he completed his flight training on August 5. His squadron, the 400th Bombardment Squadron, was sent to Hawaii in September 1942, then deployed to Australia in November of that year.
