This is a photograph of U.S. Army Air Forces Captain Carl Silber, pictured with a kangaroo. Capt. Silber was a USAAF pilot and one of the passengers on the "Texas Terror", the B-24 which was being co-piloted by Dewey Hooper, Elon class of 1940. Capt. Silber also perished in the crash which killed Hooper.
